Have you given it any thought what it is that Jim Wolf does to your engine computer? He modifies it and does so in exactly the same ways as you are claiming is bad. The fact is, Nissan's remapping of the ECU generates excessively high EGT's if you try and run high boost (>12psi). This is due to the ignition timing being so advanced. It was never properly mapped to handle 93 pump gas, and even on race fuel it is a bit excessive. In order to safely run more boost, you must retard the timing a bit from the stock configuration. That's all I'll say about that.. As for the "Rebuild King" thing, I take it you have not read my posts about why it was that I had to rebuild my engine. If you did, you would realize you are suffering heavily from the infamous foot-mouth disease. The reason my engine blew was because of an improperly installed/damaged intake valve stem seal allowing huge amounts of oil into cylidner #2. That oil caked onto every part of the cylinder's internals and all that oil lowers octane of fuel. In combination with higher compression ratios (because the chamber was nastily coated) as well as lower octane fuel (from the oil mixing with the gas), ring lands were broken. I had the heads reworked by someone else, I didn't touch that part. It is unfortunate that such an inexpensive and small part makes such a difference. It was screwed up by someone else and I suffered from it. You live, you learn not to trust other people with such precision components and attention to detail. You do it your goddamn self if you want it done right. Going off and tooting your horn about how you wouldn't buy something from me goes both ways. How about I just dont sell you anything. Ha.
